Ingredients for making Matar Paneer Recipe:

  • Paneer: 300 grams
  • Green Peas : 1 cup
  • Tomato Paste: 2 pcs
  • Chopped Onion: 2 medium size
  • Turmeric Powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Cumin Powder: 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder: 2 tsp
  • Kashmiri Red Chilli: 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala Powder: 1/2 tsp
  • Ginger Paste: 1 tsp
  • Garlic Paste: 1 tsp
  • Bay Leaf: 1 pcs
  • Cumin Seeds: 1 tsp
  • Dry Red Chilli: 2 pcs
  • Green Chilli: 4 pcs
  • Kasuri Methi: 1 tbsp
  • Chopped Coriander: 1 handful
  • Salt: as per taste

How to make Matar Paneer Recipe (Instructions):

1. First of all take 300 grams of paneer and cut it into pieces.

2. Now cut 2 tomatoes into four slices. Now take these chopped tomatoes in 1 mixer and add 4 raw chillis to it and paste it.

3. Then heat a pan and add some refined oil to it. When the oil is hot add the paneer to it.

4. Now add 1/2 tsp salt and fry the paneer.

5. After frying, put 4 tbsp oil in the pan, and add 1 bay leaf, 2 dry chilli, 1 tsp cumin seeds and fry for 15-20 sec at medium flame.

6. Now add chopped onion and fry it for 7-8 minutes at medium flame.

7. After frying add 1 tsp ginger paste, 1 tsp garlic paste and fry it for 2-3 minutes at medium flame.

8. Now reduce the flame and add 1/2 tsp turmeric powder, 1 tsp cumin powder, 2 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp kashmiri red chilli powder, 1/2 tsp garam masala powder and add a little water on it and grined the spices very well.

9. Again add more little water on it and grined the spices very well for 4-5 minutes at medium flame.

10. Now add tomato paste on it and add 1 tsp salt (as per taste) and mix it well and cook it for 5 minutes.

11. After 5 minutes add green peas on it which is one of the main ingredient of the recipe and cook it for 4-5 minutes.

12. After 5 minutes add 1+1/2 cup water.

13. When the gravy starts boiling add the fried paneer on it and mix it well and cover it for 5 minutes at medium flame.

14. After 5 minutes open the lid and add roasted kasuri methi on it and mix it well.

15. Now turn off the oven and spread chopped coriander on it.
