Masala Chicken Recipe/Chicken Curry Recipe
Spicy, colorful, rich in flavor chicken masala recipe
Ingredients for making masala chicken/chicken curry:
- Chicken - 500 grams
- Onion - 2 large (finely chopped)
- Ginger garlic paste - 3 tbsp
- Tomato puree - from 4 tomatoes
- Vinegar/lemon juice – 1 tbsp
- Roasted cumin powder – 1 tbsp
- Cardamom - 5 t
- Cloves - 5 t
- Pepper - 8-10 t
- Cumin - 1/2 tbsp
- Dry chili - 2 t
- 3 tbsp coriander powder
- 2 tablespoons gram flour
- 1 tablespoon Kashmiri chili powder
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- Chicken masala - 1 tbsp
- Raw chili - 4 t
- Mustard oil
- Turmeric
- salt
- sugar
How to make masala chicken/chicken curry (Instructions):
1. Chicken marination - Wash the chicken well and mix it with 1 tablespoon of vinegar or lemon juice, 1 tablespoon of ginger garlic paste, roasted cumin powder, salt and a little turmeric and keep it in the fridge for 30 minutes.2. Before starting cooking, two types of masala should be prepared
i) Preparation of Garam Masala - Grind cardamom, cloves, pepper, cumin, dry chillies in a dry pan and grind them.
ii) Preparation of Gravy Masala - Mix 3 tbsp coriander powder, 2 tbsp gram flour, 1 tbsp kashmir lanka powder and 1 tsp turmeric powder in a bowl without water.
3. Now put 150 ml mustard oil in a pan. When the oil is hot enough, keep stirring with chopped onions.
4. When the onion turns red, grind it with 2 tbsp of ginger batter.
5. Now fry for 2-3 minutes with masala made for gravy.
6. When fried add tomato puree. Add salt and a little sugar.
7. Now stir for a while until the oil is removed.
8. When the oil starts to leave, add the tandoori masala or chicken masala and give the chicken a little shake. At this time, add the garam masala prepared earlier.
9. Shred the chicken on high heat, do not stick the chicken, add water when the oil comes out from the chicken.
10. Now put the chicken in the pressure cooker on medium heat for one ct. Open the pressure cooker only when it is cool. A very nice oil will come out.
11. Add the chicken to the pan and cook for about 5 minutes. If you want, you can grind a little fenugreek.
12. Turn off the gas after 5 minutes.
13. Now the masala chicken/chicken curry is ready to serve with fried rice, polao, roti, luchi or paratha.
